About Us- On account of its strategic importance, the history of Bannu spreads over the years, dating back to the second Century BC. It has been the abode of the ancient civilization as is apparent from the remains of Akra mounds in the South-East of Bannu, and served as a Gateway for all the invaders to have an easy access to the riches of the Sub-continent.

There are myriad of theories about the origin of the word, “Bannu”. But the most widely accepted view is that the word Bannu is derived from “Bano” the wife of Shitak-the founder of Bannu and the father of Banuchi tribes.

The modern day Bannu is deemed to be the heart of the whole Southern Region with her boundaries touching the districts of Karak, Lakki Marwat and the North and South Waziristan Agencies. It is the central market of the whole Southern Region and is a safe and short route to the Central Asian Markets.
